Farmers Market

Bramhope is a large village north west of Leeds, with a population of 15,000, and is 8 miles from Leeds, and 5 miles from Otley. We are planning to start a farmers' market on the second Saturday of each month - starting on 10th May. We are currently seeking the various permissions that we need to start up this venture.

We are planning that the market will be open to the public from 9am to 12.00 noon, stallholders may set up from 8.00am, and must be clear of the premises by 1.00pm. The market will be held inside, in the main hall and we will supply a table - these must not be damaged by the users and they must be cleaned after use.

Directions to Bramhope are shown on a map HERE, and a larger scale map of the actual location of the hall is HERE.

Conditions for stallholders are HERE, and acceptance of these conditions will be implicit in applications for space by stallholders. The application form can be downloaded HERE and should be sent for the attention of the chairman to:

The Robert Craven Memorial Hall
Old Lane
Bramhope
LEEDS LS16 9AZ

Advertising of our markets will initially be by leafleting each household in Bramhope only. Adel, Cookridge, Horsforth, Rawdon, Yeadon and Guiseley are all local and it is hoped to feature the market in these areas by additional advertising.

In the meantime, for further information, contact the chairman of the charity Ewart Lewis, on 0113 267 8001, or email him at: chairman @ robertcraven.org.uk (remove the spaces). He will also accept any bookings for a space now.
